COLUMN, the simplified EPFL column

Overview

This model is a variant of the cortical column simulation at EPFL and aims at an implementation on hardware. The underlying connectivity has been generated by a fitting procedure that mimicks the behavior of the detailed model. An inititial model has been implemented in NEST and has been ported to pyNN. The project corresponds to *WP 3, Task 5*. According to the proposal, the project is currently in the *conceptual minimization* stage
