The print speed after the first layer not only depends on the material, but also on the nozzle temperature, layer hight and nozzle diameter. Speeds up to 40 mm/s were tested with good results.

Infos about the UM2 3D Printer

General Settings

The glass build plate should be clean before printing, e.g. no fingerprints, dust, ā€¦ Cleaning with water and soap and drying afterwards is sufficient.

The build plate has to be leveled. Leveling can be done via the printer menu guide.

The first layer is the most important. If it does not stick to the print bed, the print will most certainly fail. A heated print bed and low first layer speed (around 10 mm/s) contribute to better sticking of the material to the build plate.

The print speed after the first layer not only depends on the material, but also on the nozzle temperature, layer hight and nozzle diameter. Speeds up to 40 mm/s were tested with good results.

Overhangs are possible up to an angle of 50Ā° depending on the used material.
